Ajuga ‘Black Scallop’ is a standout groundcover with glossy, deep purple-black foliage that holds its color even in cooler weather. It spreads to fill in bare spots, creating a dense, low-growing mat that helps suppress weeds and add contrast to beds and borders.

In early spring, short spikes of blue flowers rise above the foliage, offering an early food source for pollinators. Tough, adaptable, and easy to grow, this is a plant that does a lot of behind-the-scenes work while still looking good.
