9in Garden Mum (Chrysanthemum × morifolium) · 9" Pot

Mums are at peak color right now, and the first hard frost ends the season. This is the window to fill the planters.

The 9-inch pot is the one that anchors a doorway. Set one on each side of the door and a third on the top step, and the whole entrance is done.

Give them full sun and water daily while it’s warm — a mum that dries out blooms out early. Then plant them in the ground before Thanksgiving. Garden mums are perennial here, and they come back every September.
