Bonita’s Apple Butter Oatmeal Bars Recipe

Look, we’re the first to say we love Bonita’s Apple Butter straight outta the jar. But our favorite use might be in these Bonita’s Apple Butter Oatmeal Bars. Sooooo scrummy. Soooo moist. Soooo get-your-hands-off-that’s-mine!

Let’s do this!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 3⁄4 cup sugar

  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt

  • 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 3⁄4 cup butter or margarine, softened to room temperature

  • 1 cup Bonita’s Apple Butter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the oats, flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon.

  4. Add the softened butter and beat with an electric mixer on low until the mixture is crumbly.

  5. Pat half of the mixture into the baking pan.

  6. Spread Bonita’s Apple Butter evenly over the crumb layer, then sprinkle the remaining crumbs over the apple butter and press down gently.

  7. Bake it for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden.

  8. Transfer the pan to a wire rack and cool completely.

  9. Cut into bars and ENJOY.

Now, come on over the Garden Market and stock up on Bonita’s Apple Butter so you can make your own!
